The Download link doesn't work, I use to get a refused access message...

Trying to run this against my older Sametime standalone server, I have added da.nsf.txt, names.nsf.txt, notes.ini, sametime.ini and stconfig.nsf.txt. However, while loading configurations, I get a slightly different error from Rob Kirkland's "An internal error occurred during: "Domino Structured Text". String index out of range: -1"

Seems to be the names.nsf.txt file that's causing the problem. Not sure what to look for in the text file for what might be "out of the ordinary" per your answer back to Rob.

I am able to run validation against my environment with my community server added and the ssc deployment manager websphere configuration file. But I have 2 (or 3) issues:

1) If I add my Gateway configuration file or my BWM configuration file (individually or together), they do load successfully, but I get "An internal error occurred during: "Validating Configuration". java.lang.NullPointerException"

2) I have added an additional Domino server which is my LDAP server, with the notes.ini file and exported da.nsf and names.nsf. In this case, the load of the configuration fails with basically the same error - "An internal error occurred during: "Notes.INI". java.lang.NullPointerException"

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Very minor comment on the validator for a future fix.

Sametime L3...Actions > Open Configuraiton Analyzer - just needs spelling correction to "Configuration"

Fabien, try unchecking "Group items by category" and then make sure you select all of the Features listed. I tried to reproduce this but was unsuccessful.

I followed the procedure but when try to add the location of the validator it shows "There are no categorized items" in stead of having Sametime Servibaility that I should check (page 19, point 7)

Not a bad tool. I can see the benefit of using this to assist with finding problems and taking a proactive approach. Could be used to compliment Sametime health checks for customers. Would like to see a little more flesh on the installation notes. One thing that I'm not sure about is the "server types." DB2 is listed, what data is required for that? Also in the same drop down Domino is listed as well as LDAP. What heading do I use for the Domino LDAP server that Sametime is looking up to?

Vera Nentwich - There are currently no install details for installing this into the Notes 8.5 Environment. This has not been tested. For now this does require a stand-alone Eclipse environment.

Rob Kirkland - Rob, which database were you exportering? Can you look at the generated text file and see if there is anything out of the ordinary. We have not encountered this problem before.

Aditya Chaganti - Try just selecting the "Indigo UpdateSite" to install the BIRT Framework first, then repeast and install only the Sametime Configuration Validator. If your not able to load the "Indigo UpdateSite" can you access "http://download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo" with your browser?

Sjaak Ursinus - Thank you I have entered that bug in our tracking database. We are working on a better solution to this.

I have found a programming mistake/error in the export agent of the "Sametime L3 Tool Database" you have to use the browse button in the "Database open" dialog otherwise the export will file because the code can't find a valid path to write the output/dump file to.

Further , getting the below error :

I cannot see the BIRT framework appearing in the list of available software that can be installed and also the sametime preqreuisities are failing.

I am unable to install the validator tool , BRIT is not appearing , i only see Validator while installing via eclipse and it too fails.i also get the below errors very often :

The Sametime L3 Tool Database Exporter isn't working for me. I run it. I add the file created by it to the list of configurations. I run Load All Configurations. I get the following error: "Problem Occurred. 'Domino Structured Text' has encountered a problem. An internal error occurred during: 'Domino Structured Text'. String index out of range: -2"

good idea, but how should it be installed in a Lotus Notes 8.5 eclipse based environment? It doesn't make sense to install eclips separatly again.
